FA Cup Sunday League
Belle Vue Rovers v Norton George and Dragon
All the pressure and play seemed to be by Belle Vue and looked like they would be the ones to score but a break down the right and a shot across the goal opened the scoring for the George and Dragon.
Despite the attempts on goal by Rovers it was still 1-0 to the George and Dragon as the first half ended.
Second half and much of the same for Belle Vue and again, it was The George and Dragon, who scored again taking it to 2-0.
It was then that Belle Vue turned the game in about 5 minutes with two strikes that brought the game to a draw and the game was destined for penalties.
A dramatic penalty shoot out ensued with the Norton keeper making the first save then the Belle Vue keeper saving a few shots later finely ending when the Belle Vue keeper, Ben Fairless, kept out the last attempt.
